This is going to be the first high voltage match of COPA AMERICA CENTANERIO 2016, as the CONCACAF giant Mexico National team is going to face one of the mightiest Latin Giant Uruguay in their first match from group C. The other two teams of this group are Jamaica and Venezuela. Both the teams will desperately try to grab a win from the first match and make some way to be the group champion. This is the most anticipated group stage clash so far of this COPA 2016 tournament.

So far these two teams have played nine matches with each other. Both the teams managed to win 3 times and the rest 3 ones ended in draw. In the history of COPA, these two teams had 4 clashes and both teams also had a one-one balance in the result as well, while the other two ended in draw.

The last meeting of these two teams was also in COPA in 2011, where Uruguay defeated the opponent with a marginal score of 1-0.

Team Mexico:

Team Mexico is top of their form in the recent periods. They have won their last 5 matches and their opponents were Chile, Paraguay, Canada and Senegal. The Mexican managed to score 9 goals in these matches, while their defenders were also really outstanding as they conceded not a single goal in those 5 matches.

Team Uruguay:

Despite of not being as much amazing form like the Mexicans are in, Uruguay have also a decent form in the recent periods as they have won 3 of their last 5 matches and lost a single one against Ecuador in the mean time. They have also made a 2-2 draw against the mighty Brazil in the last March.

Mexico team’s defense lineup will be led by their most experienced man Rafael Marquez, who will be assisted by Miguel Layun and Hector Moreno. The midfield is lined up with Hector Herrera, Jesus Molina, Andres Guardado and Carlos Pena. Mexico’s key player will be Javier Hernandez, who is in amazing form in the recent matches. He will be well assisted by Jesus Corona and Lozano.

Layun, Marquez, Moreno;

Herrera, Molina, Guardado, Pena;

Lozano, Hernandez, Corona.

Barcelona superstar Luis Suarez is surely going to this match, and probably the entire group stage of the COPA campaign. Edinson Cavani is going to be the key player in the forward line due to his absence and will be assisted by Rios, Gonzalez and Vecino. The key player in their defense lineup would be Atletico Madrid’s superstar Diego Godin. Muslera will be under the post for the team.

This is going to be a match full of excitement and tension. Both the teams have equal chances to win the match. But Mexico team is ahead of Uruguay considering their recent forms and they are predicted to be the winner of this contest.
