2016 is going to be an amazing year for the football lovers. Just after finishing of the League Footballs and Champions Leagues, it’s time for the International Football. The COPA AMERICA CENTANERIO is already on the pitch, and EURO 2016 is knocking at the door. It’s just the matter of some hours now, and after that this thrilling and Europe’s most prestigious tournament will thrill the entire world to the fullest. This is going to be the 15th edition of Euro Cup and it is scheduled to be hosted in France. The tournament will be continued from 10 June 2016 to 10 July 2016. The whole world is eagerly waiting to enjoy some nail biting moments of Euro 2016 Live.

France has been elected as the host country of Euro 2016. Italy, France and Turkey competed to be elected as the Host country of this year’s Euro Cup. Among them, France was selected as the winner of the bidding process and elected as the Host of Euro 2016.


Initially 12 stadiums were chosen for hosting all the matches of Euro 2016. But due to the withdrawal issues, at last 10 stadiums have been enlisted for all the matches of Euro 2016 Live. These stadiums are all situated in the important cities of France, Paris, Bordeaux, Lens, Lyon, Nice, Toulouse, Saint-Etienne, Saint-Denis, Marseille and Lille. Among all of the stadiums, Stade De France, the national stadium of France, is the largest with the capacity of 81,338 people.

EURO 2016



The logo of this edition was unveiled 3 years ago, in a program on 26th June of 2013. The design of this logo is on a particular theme called the celebration of the art of football.


The official mascot of Euro 2016 was also unveiled about 2 years ago on 18 November of 2014. The mascot of this year’s Euro Cup edition is named as Super Victor. This one is a superhero child wearing dress which resembles the flag of France. This theme is based on the idea of power of victory.

Participating Countries

For the first time of the Euro’s history, 24 teams are going to be participated this time, being expanded from the usual 16-teams format.

Competition Format

In the group stage, 24 teams have been divided in 6 groups, each group containing 4 of the participating teams. The top 2 teams of the all groups will be directly qualified for the knockout stage. The best ranked four top sides from the 6 groups will also join them, making 16 teams to be qualified for the second round. These 16 teams will take on in the second stage and the 8 winning sides will make their way to the quarter finals. 4 winning teams of the quarter final stage will be included for the top four spots of the semis. The winners of the semis will go through the final of Euro 2016 Live.

The Final

The final of this year’s Euro Cup is scheduled to be held on 10th July at the stadium of Stade de France, Saint-Denis. The world will enjoy the final of Euro 2016 Live and get the winners from the top two sides of the tournament.
